What does a maintenance plan include?

Higher tiers add more active SEO work and faster turnaround on requests. The idea is simple: your site stays fast, current, and working while you focus on your business.
Do I need maintenance if my site is custom-coded?
A custom site has far fewer moving parts than a WordPress install — no plugins to break, no constant security patches — so it needs less maintenance. But "less" isn’t "none." Dependencies still update, content still needs changing, performance still drifts, and search standards still evolve. Maintenance keeps a good site good. That said, it’s optional: because you own your code, you can also handle it yourself or hire anyone to.
How much does maintenance cost?
Plans are billed monthly and scale with what you need — a lighter plan for security, monitoring, and occasional updates, or a fuller plan that adds active SEO work and priority turnaround. We’ll recommend a tier based on how often your site changes and whether you want ongoing growth work. No long lock-in; you can cancel with notice.
Can you maintain a site you didn’t build?
Sometimes. If your site is built on a modern, sound foundation, we can often take over maintenance. If it’s on a bloated template or has underlying issues, we’ll tell you honestly whether maintenance makes sense or whether a rebuild would serve you better. We won’t take on a plan we can’t do well.
What happens if my site goes down?
Sites we host on the edge network are highly reliable, but if something goes wrong, maintenance clients get priority response. Monitoring usually means we catch issues before you do. Without a plan, you’re welcome to reach out, but maintenance clients come first and move fastest.
